It all began with wonderful volunteers, caregivers, and kids

RideABILITY was founded by Christy Henderson and her husband, Harold. We opened in October 2007, with only two horses, four students, and twelve volunteers, teaching lessons on Saturdays.

RideABILITY currently has six horses and an ever-growing roster of students with a wide range of special needs. We have trained hundreds of volunteers over the years. Our wonderful volunteers and persistent parents and caregivers make RideABILITY’s continued success and growth possible.

We moved to our current location at 117 RideABILITY Lane, Brandon, MS, in 2012.

To improve and enable the bodies, minds, and spirits of those with special life challenges through the benefits of therapeutic riding.
