As the above photos demonstrate, volunteers play a crucial role in our organization. We rely on our volunteers in order to conduct lessons, fun events such as shows, and fund raisers. Many of our volunteers either help by sidewalking or leading during a lesson. However, volunteer opportunities abound outside the arena as well. Less glamorous, but all too important tasks such as cleaning tack, grooming lesson horses, acting as secretary or cashier at events, or even just papering the town with recruiting fliers helps!
Our
volunteer training sessions introduce new volunteers not only to
RideABILITY's mission, but also to the horses and staff they will work
with. Volunteer training may also take place in between formal
training sessions.
Volunteers who enjoy sidewalking and leading during lessons may also consider becoming a certified instructor. Please visit NARHA to learn more. Contact Christy Henderson if you wish to learn more about being an instructor and how you might fit in with RideABILITY.
